Offline apps, local records
The core features of these Android apps operate offline. They do not require an account and do not send your app records to BOARING WORKS or to external services. They do not contain advertising, analytics, crash-upload, payment or other third-party runtime SDKs.
This policy covers the Android apps named above. It does not describe other BOARING WORKS products.
What each app stores
u8 Games
An offline Sudoku game. It stores the current puzzle, starting clues, your entries, the number of reveals used and your completed-puzzle total in private app storage on your device.
u8 Sports
An offline sliding-number puzzle. It stores your current board, net move count and separate best-move records for each board size in private app storage on your device. It does not provide sports news, live results or online rankings.
u8 Tournament Records
A local round-robin record tool. It stores one tournament name, participant names, its schedule and entered scores in private app storage on your device. Participant names may contain personal information if you enter real names; please use team names or nicknames.
Data is processed locally to provide the features you request. “No upload” does not mean that the apps store no data.
Permissions and sharing
Version 1.1 adds internet access solely to retrieve the current Telegram support link when you tap Telegram on the home screen. The apps do not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or storage access. They do not collect advertising identifiers or transmit device identifiers.
The apps do not automatically share records with other people or services. Screenshots or copies you create and share using other tools are controlled by you.
Optional Telegram support
When you tap Telegram, the app sends its package name and a support-only flag over HTTPS to vest-api.wjlaunch.com. The server receives the IP address required for the network connection but does not retain IP addresses, access logs or other request information, and does not use them for location tracking or analytics. No gameplay progress, tournament records or device identifiers are sent.
The returned link opens Telegram or a web browser outside the app. Any messages you choose to send are handled through Telegram and received by the support team to respond to your request. Telegram handles information under its own privacy policy. Contact BOARING WORKS using the email below to request deletion of support correspondence under our control. The lookup endpoint does not receive message contents. If a support link is unavailable or there is no network connection, offline app features remain usable.
Retention and deletion
- Local records remain until you delete them, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app.
- In each app, open Privacy & data → Clear all data and confirm to remove previous progress and records. The puzzle apps then create a fresh board.
- Starting a new puzzle replaces the current puzzle. Starting another tournament replaces the current tournament after confirmation.
- System backup and device transfer are disabled in the app configuration. There is no server copy, cloud sync or cloud recovery service.
Security and control
Records are kept in Android's private storage for the app. Access to your unlocked device, device compromise or screenshots you share may expose local records. You control what names and scores you enter and can remove those records at any time.
Because BOARING WORKS does not receive your local app records, it cannot access or restore them remotely.
Policy updates
If app features or data handling change, this policy and the relevant store declarations will be updated. The effective date above identifies this policy version.
